Oregon PSM

I am an enthusiastic supporter of the PSM program and the Oregon State PSM program in particular. The PSM provides students a modern degree with emphasis in science and business, ideal preparation for a position in technology-based industries. I know that many OSU PSM grads have in fact gone onto good jobs in industry and some to government labs.
As an OSU professor, I played a minor role in setting up the program. Now, as founder and president of ViewPlus, I play a different role. I served for several years on the OSU PSM Advisory Board, and I have advised two PSM interns at ViewPlus. Those internships were a good experience for me and ViewPlus and an even better experience apparently for the two students. The first intern escaped to San Diego where he was offered an excellent position at a far higher salary than ViewPlus could offer. The other intern, Josh Mellon, did stay and work for ViewPlus for several years. He recently moved to North Carolina unfortunately, where he is closer to his family and also has an excellent position at, again, a much higher salary than ViewPlus can offer. I guess it is time to invite some more PSM interns and get them started on the ladder of success.
